Bed & Basket® in Crugwallins offers fabulous self-catering accommodation in a range of dog-friendly holiday homes, beautifully converted from traditional stone barns. We actively welcome dogs and look forward to having them stay, though we do not accept cats. Located close to St Austell, our accommodation serves as a brilliant base for exploring a variety of attractions in Cornwall.

Our four charming barns are perfect for a memorable dog-friendly holiday in a gorgeous rural setting, surrounded by wonderful Cornish countryside. We are the ideal place to stay for dog lovers who don’t want to leave their dogs at home.

At Bed & Basket®, we provide a range of excellent facilities for your four-legged friends, including dog washing facilities, dog towels, temporary dog guest tags, private patios to ensure your dog’s safety, and spacious communal fields for them to run around in.

The barns are built to the highest specifications and come with everything you and your dog will need for a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. Each barn features cosy living areas, a well-equipped kitchen with a range of appliances, comfortable bedrooms, lovely bathrooms, and a delightful patio space to catch the evening sun.

Kensa: Our largest barn sleeps four people in a two-bedroom booking or six people when configured as three bedrooms. Upstairs, there is a lounge with leather chairs and a toasty log burner, a dining area for six people, and a spacious kitchen. Downstairs, there is a master en suite, a second bedroom with a double bed, a third bedroom with bunk beds, and a bathroom with a roll-top bath.

Nessa: This superb barn sleeps two in a downstairs double room with an en suite shower. Upstairs, there is an open plan lounge with leather chairs, a dining area, an open plan kitchen, and a log burner.

Tressa: This wonderful one-bedroom barn sleeps two people upstairs in a double room with a king-size bed and an en suite shower. Downstairs, there is a lounge with leather chairs and a log burner for the chillier months. There is also a mezzanine floor with a dining area and open plan kitchen.

Peswora: Our lovely one-bedroom barn sleeps two in a double bedroom with an en suite shower room. Downstairs, there is a dining area, an open plan kitchen, and a lounge with leather chairs and a log burner.

We are in a prime position for visiting some of Cornwall’s most famous attractions. You can visit the stunning Edge Project or enjoy strolling around The Lost Gardens of Heligan. Savour some fine ales at St Austell Brewery or enjoy outstanding dog-friendly walks on the Clay Trails. Further attractions include the China Clay Museum, Charlestown Shipwreck & Heritage Centre, Dairyland Farm World, Screech Owl Sanctuary, and Lanhydrock House.
