Wetnose Animal Aid has been raising funds for rescue animal centres throughout the UK for over 19 years. As the number of animals needing homes increases, it is important to ensure that there is a plan in place to try and find animals their forever home and ensuring that those animals that do come into our care are well looked after.

The number of stray or abandoned dogs in the UK reaches over 111,000 a year which is unbelievable in itself. That means 21 dogs are put down every day. In addition to this, there are also the number of wild animals that are hurt or injured on the roadside or found in peoples gardens that are sick, badly treated, neglected or breed for money. Rescue centres will look after them and try to find them a new loving home or release them back into the wild when they are better.

We have fantastic support from celebrities such as Joanna Lumley, Brian May, Rick Wakeman and Vicki Michelle. Not to mention the support received from children, schools, local companies, local suppliers. However, we can all help more. Remember it’s all animals that need our help – from frogs, bees, hedgehogs, cats, dogs, ponies, horses, reptiles all animals in rescue need our help today. This is why Wetnose raises funds to help those who need it most, our sick and neglected animals.
